Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Functional Skills Tutor (English /Math’s/ICT). This is a 1 year fixed term contract.

You will take an active role in teaching, motivating and supporting learners throughout their apprenticeship, challenging them to reach their full potential.

Role Outlined

The company are looking for experienced tutors to be responsible for creating a bespoke meaningful learning journey for apprentices undertaking functional skills.

This position is about effectively managing individual learning plans and ensuring learners achieve their highest potential. The role is to support a regional team with Functional Skills delivery and ensuring first time pass rate of apprentices meets/ exceeds the business objectives.

What you’ll need

• English and Math’s qualification at level 3 or above
• PGCE or alternative teaching qualification at level 4 or above
• A1, TAQA award
• Experience of invigilating examination
• Experience of working with young people and adults with a range of learning needs and abilities
• Experience of teaching English and Math’s qualifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Excellent time management skills, planning and scheduling essential.
• You can engage and partner with clients and internal staff.
• You have a track record of success.
• Experience of delivery within the National Health Service is desirable
